Another August Frost Warning

This is a warning that at or near zero ground temperatures will cause frost in parts of these regions overnight tonight and early Monday morning. Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements. A ridge of high pressure will move over Newfoundland today and persist overnight. The cool air mass will combine with light winds and clear skies overnight tonight and early Monday to produce frost over inland regions.

Summer Thunderstorms


Even though Environment Canada has not issued a severe thunderstorm watch or warning for New Brunswick, there is a significant band moving through, with local rainfall heavy at times in the Moncton area. This system will move across Nova Scotia tonight.

Record Highs, Record Lows...


Parts of Ontario and Quebec are at the northern tail of a huge high pressure system that has brought intense heat to parts of the US and Canada. The system passed through California and the mid-west over the previous few days, but is now replaced with a low pressure system that is bringing record lows to those locations.
