COLD!

Over the next few days a series of arctic fronts will move through eastern Canada and will knock down our recent "mild" temperatures. The airmass that is headed east will be brutally cold, with 850mb temps of -30 C to -35 C, which is almost unheard of for this time of year at this latitude. As well, the winds will be howling out of the northwest as part of the polar vortex moves itself over the maritimes which will lead to brutal windchills. In fact, this airmass could be the coldest the east has experienced this winter!
